My favourite show so far has come from Alexander Wang. It seems that Wang's inspiration for the line came from luxe sports wear and mannish shapes, tribal prints in oversized cuts and bodycon knits that were hot enough to give Mark Fast (also showing at NYC this week) a run for his money. I can't really miss out on the fact that Alex Wang knows how to produce a damn good accessory so it was no surprise to see model's swinging floral helmets as they came down the catwalk, decorated in 90's inspired pointed-toe heels and slouchy cross body bags. Overall, I loved the layered mesh, the bright white rompers and the classic Wang cargo dresses. My favourite piece from the whole collection was the black cigarette pants with gold stud hand print detailing, a statement piece for sure.
I've put a lookbook together below of my 6 favourite Wang looks (images from http://www.fashionista.com/), and then selected a few miscellaneous pieces from the other shows so far this week which I've fallen for. I can't wait to see what the concrete jungle has in store for the rest of the week, and I'm especially excited to see what London has to say for itself very soon!xoxo
