•Happy Friday you lovely lot! I have a nail polish related post this morning, haven't done one of these in ages but had to rave about 'Causing a Stir' from Topshop which I bought yesterday and immediately took off my day old 'Cha-Ching Cherry' by O.P.I for.
The colour is described as 'Tangy Peach' on the Topshop site; hmm, less of the tangy and I'd probably say the descrip is spot on (so just peach then, ha). It's a gorgeous, vibrant shade of orange and though I had hoped it'd have more of a coral undertone when applied, I'm in no way disappointed with the subtly bold and summery colour it develops when it dries on the nails.
I'm a total fan of the Topshop make-up range and think £5 for a polish as lovely as 'Causing a Stir' is soo reasonable - I always find their nail products are long lasting, apply well and provide great coverage in 2 coats. Peachy perfection!

Also, a few people on Instagram (girlseeksfashion) and Twitter (@grlseeksfashion) have asked where my rings are from soo for those of you that wondered, the ring on my index is the December birthstone from Pandora (the stone is turquoise) and the silver infinity knot ring on my middle finger is by Indulgent Designs via Etsy, it was made to measure and shipped over from Canada and it's by far my most favourite piece of jewellery I own :) xo

•Summer sun, sandals with bare legs under dresses, ice creams and water fights... Sigghhh, it feels like a distant memory! And as I sit here with wet toes in squelchy shoes from a brief lunch time stroll to Topshop (hellooo sale), I genuinely feel defeated by the weather. As always, my quick fix for a mood boost is to shop, and I wasn't disappointed by the flashes of colour and summery clothes as I walked around just now. I'm kinda glad we're all sticking two fingers up at whoever has the remote control to this thing by sporting bright nails, bold accessories and all the spring trends possible. I spotted 3 items for my Wishlist Wednesday this week, all belonging in sunnier climes and have chosen to whip out the 'ignorance is bliss' card and have popped them at the top of my payday shopping list. In your face rain!xo

1.Mint T-Bar Heels by Limited Edition @ New Look £39.99
2.Bubblegum Pink Shorts @ Topshop  £35

•Gasp, the Olivia Rubin capsule collection for Dorothy Perkins has just landed and EVERYTHING is gorgeous ~ Cue sharpened elbows and definitive damage to my credit card!

London based Olivia is best known for her mesmerising graphic designs and it shows on everything from shell print peplum tops in creamy pastels to bird motifs on bold, playful dresses in striking shades of pink.
Inspired by 'memories of summer fun and carefree holidays', every piece of the collection has an airy touch of femininity, be it in the asymmetric cut tees or wrap dresses and floor sweeping maxis... Honestly, I'm totally inspired and ready take to take on the summer in the sugar coated girly shades Olivia has brought to DP ~ Dream of sunshine and it shall come!

Ooh and the best bit?! It's not over! With a promise of accessories and swimwear coming later this season, if the soft shapes, flattering cuts and stand-out prints are anything to go by, I'll be living in DP through the summer and beyond!xo

•I'm having a slight love affair with the colour orange at the moment. I find myself looking out for it whenever I'm out shopping and my eyes pretty much popped out my head when I strolled in to Mango yesterday and saw this handbag perched all pretty on a shelf. Not only do I love the rich, yummy, juicy colour which is soo on trend for spring (seriously has it sprung yet?!) and summer, but I also think it's my fave choice for adding a little colour pop to a monochrome or otherwise neutral/safe outfit. It's just the thing I've been looking for to pair with my trustee tux as I don't really have any accessories quite this bold in my wardrobe. More of a pastels and nudes kinda girl you see! Also, I'm desperate for these wedge shoe boots from, the slice of metallic on the wedge makes them all the more of a statement piece, feel I must invest!xo

Leather Messenger Bag @ Mango £84.99
Drape Tux Jacket @ Miss Selfridge £45

•I can't get over the fact that I'm not at Coachella this week. I mean I really OUGHT to be there. It's been a bit of a long term dream for my friends and I to jet off to Cali and spend our days prancing around in the gorgeous sunshine with flowers in our hair, drinks in our hand(s) and an amazing soundtrack of music in the background.

Goes without saying the fashion is uh-mazing too. I've been to a few festivals, and even though girls here make effort to look stylish, for some reason the American version of events is a whole different story. Above all, I'm majorly impressed that these girls manage to look so good - I'm pretty sure I didn't wash for 3 days at V Festival a few years ago and baby wipes and dry shampoo were my saviour!

I've put together my perfect picks for a festival outfit and had I been going, I would have totally opted for the casual cool approach... Girl can't be getting no groove on in restrictive clothing!xo

•Just as I put the finishing touches to this week's Wishlist Wedneday, the rain outside started to come down a little harder. Annoying much. The weather has yo-yod a silly amount in the last month and whilst I love winter, layering and snuggling up, I'm also OVER IT. April, I beg of you, pleeease be nice for the weekend!

One of my best friend's has just bought her very first property with her boyfriend and this Saturday is the housewarming party. Jodie is and always has been the hostess with the mostess so I'm really excited for the night - Just a small matter of outfit panic to deal with first. I always dress according to my mood; if I'm feeling girly I'll dress up, if I'm not really fancying the night I'll stick a pair of skinnies on and if I'm reaaally in the mood for drinking and dancing, I'll wear flats. I party better when I'm not falling over :)

Miso Lace Bralet @ Republic £20
Textured Lantern Skirt @ Topshop £35
Crepe Long Line Jacket @ Warehouse £60
Boa Sandals by Robert Clergerie @ ASOS £330 - GULP.
Anyway, this week it seems that my outfit is going to be weather dependant. Ambitious as I am, I've got my eyes on the outfit above and I hope I get the chance to wear it.
Firstly - I'm hippy. That basically means I have big hips (damn them) and tend to avoid skirts that sit anywhere but the waist and tops that aren't too long. I've made an exception with this outfit though, just because I know that I can hide a multitude of sins by adding the gorge peach Warehouse blazer and relying on it for a sleek silhouette. The lace bralet is so cute and a steal for £20 from Republic. Again, I need to wear it with a skirt that rises above the hips a little, and the white lantern skirt from Topshop is perfect. I'm pretty determined that this THE outfit, and if it rains, a pair of tights and high heels will be coming in to play!xo

•Sigh, seems that Tuesday blues are just as bad as Monday's when you return from a 4 day weekend, especially when it has been spent away. Istanbul was lovely; thick with an energetic atmosphere, buzzing at all hours and full of friendly faces. I was sooo happy the sun shined the whole time (could've been a disaster as getting around by boat is the easiest option for travel) and I didn't have to dig out an umbrella once.

You need to spend at least a week in Istanbul to see everything it has to offer, so 3 nights didn't really do it justice but my favourite spot was The House Cafe in Te┼čvikiye, the perfect place to get comfy with a Turkish coffee after lots of walking and do nothing but people watch in the peaceful tea gardens.

The shopping too is awesome by the way, just a shame we didn't have lots of time for it but aside from the familiar Zara (I picked up this jacket with leather sleeves on a quick rummage), Topshop and H&M stores, there is also Vero Moda, C&A (old school!), and Pull & Bear on the same high street level. If you have the budget, there is everything from Gucci to Prada, Miu Miu to DvF, Yves Saint Laurent to Chanel... The list goes on. Note to self: save next time!

Hope you don't all mind me sharing a few of my fave pics from the trip xoxo

•Whilst I'm really excited to be going away over the Easter break ~ I'm popping to Istanbul for 3 nights with my ma and pa ~ I'm getting a little worried right now that I'm having to pack for rainy weather AND that I'm having to fit all my bits and pieces in to my hand luggage (easyJet you SUCK). I feel stressed at the though and seriously who knew a pair of heels could take up so much space?! Have a horrid feeling I'm going to have to repeat outfits x 3. In any case, I think I'll just have to shop some of the bits on my Wishlist Wednesday this week and chop and change what I wear from day to night. An outfit that I'd wear sightseeing/shopping isn't exactly what I'd choose to wear at some of the lovely restaurants we're booked in to however needs must!xo
