Feeling fresh from a holiday, I feel as though I should be slowly packing up my summer wardrobe and shifting it in to storage boxes in prep for the autumn/winter but instead, I find myself focused on yet more summery pieces to suit the sunshine. It may have something to do with my lovely boy booking a week in Dubai whilst I was in Cyprus (big smile on my face right now) and so before I know it, it’ll be time to rejig all my clothes and I see no point in packing things away to only unpack them again.

The last of the bits I’m hoping to nab before summer completely disappears from the shops is this leopard print bandeau bikini from Topshop… I saw lots of girls wearing this in Ibiza this year, and the fact it’s sold out in quite a few sizes online says it’s popular too but I just love the bold print and think it’ll be the kind of investment buy that sticks around for a good few years. The bottoms, I’m not so sure about. Small prints accentuate EVERYTHING. And tie sides are a bit of a pet hate so I’m likely to swap these for a simple black pair – A little annoying for me as who wants to pay £32 for just a bikini top but I like it enough to justify it to myself, and so I am!

Another fave from Topshop is this bright pink lipstick called ‘Legend’. I haven’t had a pink this bold since MAC ‘Girl About Town’ so I’m hoping for £10 it’ll be a similar match. Aside from the lovely colour I’m a fan of the cutesy packing design by Louise Gray and am currently finding myself tempted by the make-up bags and brushes she’s also designed in shades of yummy candy.

The faux leather peplum from Oasis and H&M ankle-grazers are far more suited for the weeks ahead, especially as I have a few exciting things coming up including Usher’s gig at the Camden Roundhouse this weekend and Vogue’s Fashion Night Out at Mahiki next week. I’ve seen so many variations of the peplum now and I’m yet to become sick of the feminine flair and silhouette. I especially love this top as an edge to the floral/mirror print on the trousers, and think they would be well teamed with a  box clutch, killer heels and this Giles & Brother leather/oxidized-brass necklace. A statement piece if I’ve ever seen one!xo

Lips in Legend by Louise Gray @ Topshop £10
Faux Leather Peplum Top @ Oasis £42
Necklace by Giles & Brother @ £225
Print Trousers @ H&M £29.99
Leopard Bandeau Bikini @ Topshop £32

I’m a big fan of these transitional times of the year when season’s slowly start to change and you start to look at your wardrobe as though anything goes. Granted, we haven’t had much of a summer at all, but now that the sun is shining and it’s warm even when it rains, I’m really enjoying throwing cosy knits over skirts and bare legs!
I’ve not done a Wishlist Wednesday post for a few weeks now so my wants and needs have been piling high and I’ve seen some gorgeous pieces, the first of which follows on from what I was just saying about transitional dressing (not to be confused with transgender, pah).

Girls, I give you the ultimate in cosy knits: the soft, slouchy cable knit jumper in yummy powder puff pink from Monki. Throw it over denim cut offs and tees, ankle grazing trousers with a blouse peeping out at the collar/cuffs or floaty tea dresses, it’ll be a best friend to practically everything you own! Personally, I’d like to pair it with a tailored skirt a lot like this minty boucle one from Topshop, bare legs, lacey socks and a pair of tan ankle boots. A perfect weekend outfit, come rain or shine!

I’ve also been verging on the edge of disco pant temptation the past few weeks, though I really don’t want to pay £70 for a pair from Urban Outfitters as I think it’s a trend that’ll probably die a lot sooner than I get my money’s worth – So I was a little excited to see River Island had a copycat style which comes in lots of bright colours such as this electric blue pair for £30, a real alternative to the regularly worn skinny jeans in my wardrobe and effortlessly cool teamed with a bold pattern or print like the shell top blouse with hearts from Topshop.

Now, the thing I’m most excited to have seen whilst obsessively surfing the net this week is the revamped version of the plaited shopper from Zara. Covered in studs and looking ever so stunning in black, I’m convinced the fact that the original was sold out in most stores for months was for one reason only: Clearly I was destined to have this one instead! It’s a little expensive at £129, and I don’t think I’m ready to stop using my Mulberry just yet but I really don’t want to miss out again so I’ve decided, it will just have to be.

Heart Print Shell Top @ Topshop £34
Plaitted Shopper w/Studs @ Zara £129
Bee Pendant Necklace @ Hobbs £29
High Shine Tube Pants @ River Island £30
Oversized Jumper @ Monki 40EUR
Tailored Boucle Skirt @ Topshop £38

P.S. This little bee pendant necklace is my fave accessory of the week, I saw a girl on holiday wearing a similar one and have managed to stalk it down to Hobbs for £29, not bad for the cute vintage feel and quirky design!xo

•Hi my lovelies! I'm finally managing to catch up on the blogosphere since my return from Ibiza last week and if any of you have seen my Twitter, that'll be because I returned with a fractured foot and have quite simply been drowning my sorrows with Ben & Jerry's whilst watching mindless tele for a week straight with my feet up! Aside from the boredom and depression I've also been feeling pretty uninspired and haven't wanted to write half hearted posts, so I'm now back on track(ish) I thought I'd bring you all a week in pictures from my holiday before tomorrow's usual Wishlist Wednesday feature! See you all tomorrow ;) xo

•On another note, I'm off to Ibiza tomorrow and will be schtum on the blog front until next Wednesday! I'm sure there'll be plenty of inane ramblings and druken photos which I'll live to regret on Twitter so if you don't follow me already, do :) @grlseeksfashion

Buh bye for now!xo

•Is there any denying I've got Olympic fever?! I've even found myself watching games of handball (really?!) whilst yelling at the telly, totally sucked in by all the excitement! Whilst I've seen flashes of bright reds and royal blues make an appearance in most shop windows in the honour of the games, I must say I haven't seen too many items of clothing/accessories that aren't adorned in tacky Union Jack prints... A little goes a long way, no!? Of course, like lots of others people I'd like to show my support and have at least a little something in my wardrobe that I can keep to remind me of London 2012, even if I don't actually wear it, so I'm wishlisting some of my favourite items I've seen in the shops this week to make mine! The favourite?! An Alexander McQueen scarf has been on my wishlist for some time, throw a quirky print and slogan in to the equation, mix with the fact it's very in tune with the Olympic theme and there it is, I'm sold!xo

Alexander McQueen Scarf @ SSENSE £505
Union Jack MTV Tank @ River Island £20
Union Jack Pocket Denim Shorts @ New Look £14.99
Union Jack Canvas Pumps @ Dorothy Perkins £13
Pendant Necklace by Cath Kidston @ ASOS £20
